Kann jemand erkennen diese Bremse Teil?

  • Hallo!

  • If you're fluent in English it would probably be easier to ask your questions in English.
Google translation is a mess and causes a lot of translaltion mistakes wich makes it eben worse to read your question.

If you're looking here, this is pretty much what you are looking for:
    http://gebrauchteautoteile.com…echts-vorne--0e8641477aaa

As you can see it's coming from a W201.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,

    Claus

  • Hello Claus.

Thank you for the advice about google translate, i thought i would make the effort but if it is more of a problem then so be it.

Thank you for posting the link to that does not appear to be the same saddle as the one i have posted pictures of.

  • hmm, why do you need detailed information on one single rusty car part of unknown origin? Do you only have this one part and are you looking for the right car to complete the puzzle..? [coyote]

  • Basically i'm trying to find out what parts were used on a brake upgrade that was available on Alpina models of the BMW E30.

The conversion used mercedes callipers and pads, custom discs with what was commonly thought to be a custom brake calliper bracket but further investigation has lead me to believe it is also a mercedes part.

Here is some info on the brake conversion.

    www.e30.de - Fotostory

It says in the link above that the saddle is "maybe" 190E 2.3-16 and the pads are W124 300E-24.

  • So far so good, but what do you wanna achieve?
It's quiet difficult to help as far as nobody knows what or why you are looking for for this.

Do you need replacement for an existing car, or is it just a matter of interrest?

    Kind regards,

    Claus

  • As i said, the part is used in an Alpina big brake conversion for the E30.

I am trying to source all the parts to make up the conversion for another car, the part i have posted pics of is borrowed from a 1985 Alpina B6 3.5.

  • well, IMO it's pretty hard to tell from a photo which caliper this is.. usually MB parts do have a "star" emblem somewhere on the part, but maybe that's not the case with e.g. gilrling brakes used on tuned/upgraded cars..

Can't you just order some parts that might be right and just send them back after comparing them to your part. In germany you have the right to cancel any order within two weeks. Don#t know where you live..

BTW, the link to the E30 forum says that Alpina is able to deliver such calipers again today. Couldn't you just write the a mail which parts can be used for such conversion..?

    Best regards.

  • maybe these links help a little, at least they seem to comfirm, that the "big Alpina brake" consisted of w201/W124 parts:

    <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://e30-talk.com/fahrwerk/t-alpina-bremse-90885.html">http://e30-talk.com/fahrwerk/t-alpina-bremse-90885.html</a><!-- m -->

    <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.behindmatrix.com/e30/fotost/f00199/f00199.htm">http://www.behindmatrix.com/e30/fotost/ ... f00199.htm</a><!-- m -->

I guess if I were you I would take this rusty part to an official MB parts dealer and ask them to do some research.. or: ask Alpina themselves..

Or one more idea: there ist this TÜV-expertise (Gutachten) for the ALPINA B6/1 Bremse (mentioned in the link you posted). Try to get the technical description that belongs to this expertise. Maybe it says which parts (W124?) were used..

    best regards!
